Recognised as providing a balance of practical hands on advice and a challenging influence to corporate boards, individual directors, or shareholders, he has, as described by leading journalists, played a pivotal role in taking a number of companies to PLUS Markets (previously OFEX) and AIM.

In addition to raising finance he has undertaken transactions, including international restructuring, leading to the acquisition or disposal of businesses via trade sale.

He has significant experience, as an advisor, investment director and as a board member, in facilitating the change necessary to ensure successful completion of a transaction or strategic outcome.

Having worked for almost 30 years in commercial and business development, Paul brings a wealth of experience to Banks Cooper Associates.

Starting work in Hull in the mid 1980’s with BMW, his career with Pendragon Plc led  to him being rapidly promoted, moving to take up leadership roles at dealerships in Berkshire and Mayfair, before eventually returning to Hull in early 2000, taking responsibility for Paragon BMW.

In 2006 he became the European Business Development director for Interbulk Plc, working with the likes of Dow Chemicals, Exxon Mobil and Chevron, helping them develop their intermodal logistic operations across Western Europe and the UK.

Most latterly as Commercial Director for Humberside Airport, Paul oversaw a significant growth in helicopter activity, additional charter airlines and securing a range of large property developments including a new search and rescue base, BAE training academy and a Hampton by Hilton Hotel.

Paul’s advocacy for the region has been recognised by a range of Humber organisations. He has been a non executive director for the Hull & Humber Chamber of commerce, and is a current Chamber council member and transport & shipping committee member. He is also a board member for the Humber LEP investment & regulation board, with responsibility for transport development.

She has worked in practice in the Hull area for over 20 years with owner managed businesses of varying size and thoroughly enjoys getting to know her clients and helping them to grow their businesses efficiently, she prides herself on being ‘more than an accountant’

This includes all areas of tax and statutory accounting compliance, as well as tax and business planning for the business and its owners.
